I already use a distributor. Can I still use cleartracks ?

Yes, ClearTracks does not conflict with your distributor. ClearTracks is considered a DSP by distributors. You can ask your distributor to deliver your existing content to us for ingestion. If they also manage your publishing, they can also register as your agent and license your content on your behalf using ClearTracks. If your distributor does not deliver to ClearTracks, please let us know and we can connect with them.

My music or profile is already on ClearTracks. Who put it there ?

Your music may have been added by an artist or distributor. If you think someone is uploading your music without permission or trying to impersonate you, immediately file a copyright claim or profile claim and we'll take it down until we can sort out who the real owner is.

Can I use ClearTracks for publishing ?

Yes. ClearTracks is absolutely free for managing both master and publishing rights. You can use the built in tools to track splits, pitch licensees, receive license requests, and negotiate and clear license agreements.

How do you calculate subscription payouts ?

We currently use subscriber share calculations instead of pro-rata calculations. This method is more fair to smaller artists as it makes sure they get paid for every play. It also reduces fraud by bots that automatically generate fake plays. Content released to exclusive subscribers is paid only to you.

How often do you pay out ?

Ad revenue and subscription revenue are paid out monthly 30 days after the end of the calendar month. Downloads are paid daily. Payouts are done on a daily basis for any account over their payout threshold. We automatically pay splits to any other rights owners you specify in the song splits.

How do you calculate payments on mixes ?

Every time we identify your song in a mix, it gets counted as a play. If multiple songs are identified, each song gets and equal share, as well as a share for the DJ/creator of the mix.
